Boating and Water Safety Industry Professionals to Gather in Little Rock for the 2023 IBWSS

CLEARWATER, FL (February 28, 2023) – The annual International Boating and Water Safety Summit (IBWSS) will be held April 16 – 19, 2023, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Little Rock, Arkansas, bringing together boating and water safety industry professionals around the world to network, learn, and collaborate.

The international summit is hosted by the National Safe Boating Council, in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard with support from America’s Boating Channel, Water Sports Industry Association, BoatU.S. Foundation, and Kalkomey Inc. Attendees include federal and state agencies, marine law enforcement, parks services personnel, instructors, manufacturers, nonprofit representatives, and many others committed to keeping recreational boating and water enthusiasts safe on the water. Register now at https://www.ibwss.org/register/.

America’s Boating Channel will publicly launch its new smart TV offerings – an ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) app and free ad-supported television (FAST) linear video channel – during the 2023 IBWSS opening events.

“We are excited for America’s Boating Channel’s public launch of their new smart TV offerings at the red-carpet gala during the 2023 IBWSS,” said Peg Phillips, executive director of the National Safe Boating Council. “Launching a television app that will feature more than 300 boating safety and boater education videos demonstrates a unique collaboration of boating safety advocacy organizations who share financial support from the U.S. Coast Guard. This represents the first full-time television destination for boating and is a remarkable accomplishment.”

“America’s Boating Channel is on track to become the first full-time television presence exclusively for boaters — with boating lifestyle, sports, news, and entertainment genres of TV programming.” said Kathy Strachan, America’s Boating Channel’s vice president of business development.

The IBWSS program will make a splash with dynamic speakers, exclusive networking opportunities, and an on-water training workshop. View the program at https://www.ibwss.org/program/2023-program/

The International Boating and Water Safety Summit is partially funded under a grant from the Sports Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
