General Membership Meeting

Reminder, the National Safe Boating Council's General Membership Meeting will be held on Sunday, March 13 at 3:00 p.m. EDT at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, VA just outside of D.C. in conjunction with the International Boating and Water Safety Summit. We look forward to this opportunity to reconnect and share with each other how we are working together to advance recreational boating safety.

ALL MEMBERS please complete a proxy by Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

In advance of the meeting, please review the General Membership meeting minutes from September 2021.
Download and review the meeting minutes. Please email any additions or edits to Alexis Webb at awebb@safeboatingcouncil.org by March 8, 2022.

In addition, if you are an organizational partner and would like to provide an update during the General Membership Meeting, please complete the partner update form. These updates will be included with the agenda in advance of the general membership meeting. In addition, partners will be provided up to 3 minutes each to present during the meeting if they would like. Please complete the partner update form no later than March 8, 2022.

Night at the Museum

All IBWSS attendees are invited to attend the Night at the Museum with the Smithsonian National Air and Space - Hazy Center on Tuesday, March 15 from 6 - 9 pm. We will have private access to the museum, and light refreshments will be provided. There will be a shuttle at the hotel throughout the evening to transport attendees to/from the museum beginning at 5:30 pm (running every 30-minutes departing from the hotel).

Please note: A $15 parking fee is charged upon arrival to the museum prior to 6:00 pm if you choose to drive.

The Smithsonian requires COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result. Those attending will need to sign a waiver when they arrive to the conference at the IBWSS Registration Desk.
