Reminder, the National Safe Boating Council's fall General Membership Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m. EDT at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in conjunction with the NASBLA Annual Conference. We look forward to this opportunity to reconnect and share with each other how we are working together to advance recreational boating safety.

In addition, if you are an organizational partner and would like to provide an update during the General Membership Meeting, please complete the partner update form.This will ensure all partner organizations are given equal opportunity to provide an update during the meeting. These updates will be included with the agenda in advance of the general membership meeting. In addition, partners will be provided up to 3 minutes each to present during the virtual meeting. Please complete the partner update form no later than September 22, 2021.

Coast Guard to Approve Level 100 Inherently Buoyant Life Jackets
The U.S. Coast Guard has issued a policy letter on obtaining Coast Guard approval on Level 100 life jackets. This policy builds upon previous efforts of the Coast Guard, in cooperation with Transport Canada (TC) and members of the Personal Flotation Device (PFD) community, to harmonize North American PFD standards.
