National Safe Boating Council Welcomes New Board Members

The National Safe Boating Council has announced three new members to its Board of Directors in order to expand its leadership in the recreational boating safety and philanthropic communities. Please welcome Lisa Dugan, Grant Brown, and Kate Neubauer to the NSBC Board of Directors.

Lisa Dugan, Secretary: As the Recreation Safety Outreach Coordinator with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in the Division of Enforcement, Lisa Dugan provides statewide outreach and communication through the development of coordinated marketing goals and executed marketing plans to create a broad, statewide culture of outdoor recreation safety in Minnesota.

Grant Brown, Member At Large: Colorado Boating Law Administrator Grant Brown serves his state as the boating safety program manager. Brown has held both positions since December of 2016. Through his dual roles within the Colorado Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Parks & Wildlife, Brown oversees law enforcement patrols on rivers and lakes. The state boating safety program also conducts boat handling, boat accident investigation (BAI), boating under the influence (BUI) detection trainings for officers within the state, boating safety courses for the boating public; the program also administers the commercial river outfitter licensing program, and oversees the Marine Evidence Recovery Team (MERT).

Kate Neubauer, Member At Large: With over 20 years of professional experience in nonprofit management and philanthropy, Kate Neubauer has served in leadership roles for a wide range of environmental, sailing education and mission-based organizations. She is a key problem solver with entrepreneurial passion and loves working with her clients to design innovative strategies that increase organizational capacity and leverage philanthropy for impact. Kate has an extensive portfolio of projects, ranging from grassroots nonprofit organizations to a multimillion-dollar capital campaign and currently serves as Board President of the Rozalia Project.
